Asylum and human rights

A professional pilot who had flown MIG aircraft had been imprisoned for seven years in his home country and mistreated in prison.  His wife had been separately detained and raped, and she had committed suicide shortly after her release.  He was refused asylum in the UK and sought the assistance of Law For All.

Bringing expert evidence from other fighter pilots and military colleagues of the client, we were successful on asylum and human rights grounds.  The pilot can now bring his three children, who had been left parentless in Ethiopia, to the UK and continue with his aviation career.
