Facing eviction

Social services made a referral to Law For All of a single mother with three children, one of whom is disabled.

The family were facing the threat of eviction the following day, because of rent arrears. The mother was in difficulties financially because she had lost her job in February 2004.

We were able to have the warrant of eviction suspended and are helping the client to defend the possession proceedings. The client had felt unable to face the landlord alone but with our assistance is confronting the allegations.
